Users can call for help by pressing the large button on the Lifeline Vi, or by pressing the red button on their pendant anywhere in their home. The call is raised to the 24-hour monitoring centre who will already have the caller details. The operator will be able to communicate through the microphone and decide the appropriate course of action for example, calling a relative or emergency services.
The Lifeline Vi can also monitor a home 24 hours a day, through a range of wireless sensors installed at various locations around someone’s home. The sensors can detect problems such as fire or flood issues and will alert you and the 24-hour monitoring centre via an alarm. Each sensor is linked to the unit so the call centre knows what the issue might be, and each unit is linked to your individual address.
